Participants cannot speak highly enough of their instructor Linsey, or the benefits of attending the class. John, in his eighty’s wonders “why more men don’t attend the class”. Two lovely ladies stop to speak with Hillary Sheard from Sport Northland as they are leaving. Pam, in her eighties, can’t stop smiling as she speaks of the enjoyment, she gets from attending the class. “I enjoy the quiet relaxed atmosphere, the small friendly group and the fact we are all of a similar age. I always feel happy coming, and my flexibility has improved” she says as she demonstrates a high leg kick.
Her friend Dale, in her mid-seventies, speaks of her concern for people she knows who are experiencing falls, and the possibility it could be her next, as the main motivator for her to attend.
