Sector Strategy & Insights and Evaluation Lead

We are on the lookout for a special person to join our team.  The position is full-time, permanent and based in our Whangarei office.


Mō te tūranga/Primary Purpose

Lead the Sector Strategy & Community Funding team to lead and support the implementation of Kōkiri ai te Waka Hourua strategy plans with lead organisations / partners; and lead the dissemination of community funding including Tū Manawa Active Aotearoa and Break Away.

Responsible for the development and delivery of the insights and evaluation work programme and ensuring that insights and evaluation are consistently used to influence decision-making.


We are looking for an enthusiastic person that:

  • Has experience in people leadership
  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline.
  • Strong organisational, time management, and communication skills.
  • Has a sound knowledge and experience in implementing strategy (including identifying opportunities and influencing the inclusion of play, active recreation and sport in work plans to achieve holistic health and wellbeing benefits to all)
  • Values healthy and active lifestyles.
